Product description
Take charge with the Tacks XF Hockey Stick, made with a modern mid kick point for maximum energy storage and explosive shots. This model is engineered with pure carbon technology for robust yet lightweight agility, ideal for top-tier performance. With Skeleton+ Taper Technology, expect enhanced reliability in critical game moments, giving you the winning edge.
Stick Profile
Featuring a modern mid kickpoint, this stick uses a softer mid-section to ensure maximum energy storage when loading the stick. The new modern kickpoint has been optimized for wrist shots, enabling aggressive shooters with even more puck speed and consistency than before.
Shaft Construction
The shaft is constructed of a variable "V" shaft geometry, which is a variable geometry that allows for an easier and constant loading of the stick. The Nanolite shield carbon layering technology is a high-performance carbon layering which creates a stick that's both incredibly light and incredibly strong.
Additionally, this stick has a Skeleton + Taper technology. It is a manufactured technology that is found in the taper area which provides better reliability in key moments of the game.
Blade Construction
The blade on the XF hockey stick is the Acufeel blade with Peel-Ply. This design is perfected to achieve the right blend of stiffness and feel. The Acufeel blade is stiff enough to deliver accuracy, durability, and elite-level performance.
The blade is also made of pure carbon and Sigmatex to ensure players with a reliable and durable stick they can trust.
Grip
Featuring a Superfast Microfeel grip, it is a graphic-integrated raised grip on the mid-section of the shaft to ensure players with perfect stick control.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The CCM Tacks XF Senior Hockey Stick comes in the following blade patterns: P29, P28, P88, and P90TM.
P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P88 is a relatively traditional curve. A popular choice in the past, it excels greatly in stickhandling, quick wrist shots, and controlling snap shots.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
P90TM is a hybrid of the P29 and P28, with the lie of the P29 and the toe of the P28. Additionally, the curve is a bit taller for more control and power on face-offs and board battles. The "M" stands for "max blade", which means the blade is also has a bit more height for a stronger presence when engaging in board battles.
