Wanted: Parts Counter Ninja Superstar!
Are you a sports enthusiast with a winning smile and a can-do attitude? Do you have a black belt in customer service and a PhD in sports equipment knowledge? If so, we want you on our team at Sportwheels as our newest Parts Counter Customer Service Representative!
In this role, you’ll be the MVP of assisting customers with their Bicycle and Hockey Service needs, making sure they leave with a smile on their face. You’ll need to be quick on your feet (literally and figuratively) and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once (bonus points if you can actually juggle).
Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a high-five and a smile
Answer customer inquiries with the wisdom of a sports guru
Write and process work orders like a pro
Keep the shop looking spick and span
Requirements:
A love for all things sports
The ability to talk sports bikes or hockey until the cows come home.
A friendly and outgoing personality
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment (think Olympic sprinter).
We are looking for someone who has a few years of experience under their belt with a wrench working on their own gear.
Hours Per week:
Full Time Position, Averaging 35hrs to 45hrs per week seasonally. This may Include 3-4 Saturdays per month and a few evenings per week until 7pm or 8pm.
Benefits:

As an active team member you would interact with customers, assess their needs, create work orders, setup, repair, and maintain customer sporting equipment all while preserving a completion deadline. We are always willing to train employees that show drive, mechanical aptitude and personality. We are looking for a person who not only values their teammates, but can work on your own to a high level. We are looking for someone who has a few years of experience under their belt with a wrench working on their own personal bikes or friends, with a good head for customer service.

- Past service shop experience would be ideal, but not required, Completion of High School
Skills We Are Interested In:
Assembling/disassembling different types of bicycles, Bicycle Tube and tire changing, Knowledge of bicycle components and basic operation, Maintain a clean and organized work area, Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools, Comfortable working with targets and deadlines, Must have the ability to bend, crawl, stoop and stand for long periods of time, Advanced knowledge and use of parts and maintenance procedures.
